Acoustic treatment cost depends on the specified surfaces, assembly and finish. A rate per square foot is meaningful only when the measured area and the included build-up are clearly defined.
01Measure the right area
For a rectangular room, gross wall area is 2 × (length + width) × height. Add length × width only if the whole ceiling is included. Subtract openings and adjust for the actual specified coverage after site measurement.
Example: an 11 × 14 × 10.5 ft room has 525 sq ft of gross walls plus 154 sq ft of ceiling, or 679 sq ft before deductions. At the CRM six-layer planning rate of ₹350/sq ft, that gross illustration is ₹237,650. It is not a final quote or a sound-isolation guarantee.
02Compare assemblies, not just layer counts
Current CRM planning rates checked 26 October 2026 are ₹150/sq ft for the basic foam tier, ₹250/sq ft for the three-layer tier and ₹350/sq ft for the six-layer tier. Confirm the exact material schedule, coverage and finish in a written quotation.
Layer count alone does not establish absorption, fire performance or sound transmission loss. Taxes, openings, site preparation, special access, transport and other work must be confirmed separately.
03Avoid overbuying treatment
Start with the listening problem, speaker/seat arrangement and a coverage plan. A room can be overdamped at some frequencies while bass problems remain. Request measurement where it is needed and specify the handover evidence.
