Before equipment arrives
Confirm the seat and screen locations, manufacturer clearances, power provision and cable routes. Check network coverage for streaming and a wired option where practical.

THE CINEMA JOURNAL
A good home theatre setup starts with the room, not with a shopping list. Plan the screen, seating, speakers, acoustics, wiring and power together so the system feels immersive and remains easy to use.

SLV / ROOM-FIRST PLANNING
A home theatre setup works best when each decision follows the room plan. Document the existing equipment first, then identify the missing parts instead of replacing the whole system automatically.
Confirm the seat and screen locations, manufacturer clearances, power provision and cable routes. Check network coverage for streaming and a wired option where practical.
Label both ends of every cable and test the intended signal format before concealing it. Verify polarity, channel assignment and safe mounting. Keep packaging, serial details and warranty documents.
Check each source, full-screen focus, aspect ratio, dialogue, lip sync, surround routing and bass from the seats. Save AVR settings and show every regular user the normal startup/shutdown sequence.
Create a short fault checklist: which input to use, where to find receiver status, and how to contact support. Avoid factory resets as the first response to every issue.
Share a measured plan, your city and the equipment you own. Confirm scope and site-visit availability with our Dharmavaram team.

Measure the room, mark the main seating position and note doors, windows, ceiling height, power points and cable routes. Viewing distance and room width influence screen size, speaker spacing and whether a projector or TV makes more sense.
Choose the display around room light, viewing distance and desired screen size—not resolution alone.
Plan front speakers, surrounds, subwoofers and Atmos channels around actual seating positions.
Treat reflections, bass build-up and noise leakage before chasing more amplifier power.
A projector is ideal when cinematic image size matters and the room can support the required throw distance and light control. A TV can suit bright multipurpose rooms or smaller spaces. For projection, screen type, gain and acoustic transparency should be selected together with the projector.
Decide the speaker layout before false-ceiling, wall-panel or interior work starts. Pre-planning lets you hide speaker, subwoofer, HDMI, network and control cables cleanly and keeps future upgrades easier.
A practical sequence is room planning, electrical and cable routing, acoustics/interiors, screen and projector mounting, speaker installation, AV receiver setup, calibration and final tuning. This avoids rework and protects finished surfaces.
Use the room-size, cost and Dolby Atmos guides to refine your system before buying equipment.
